In partnership with Bioness Inc., Community is the first hospital system in Indianapolis and among the first in the country to offer the breakthrough therapy and will serve as a regional evaluation and treatment site for patients.
The NESS L300TM neuron-rehabilitation system is a revolution in Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) technology, designed to help patients experiencing foot drop to regain mobility and help normalize walking and gait. This user-friendly system is appropriate for a broad range of conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and incomplete spinal cord injury. Learn more >>
Established in 1974, Hook Rehabilitation Center was the first inpatient rehabilitation center in Indiana. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredits Hook Rehabilitation Center for comprehensive rehabilitation in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Hook has also received special designation from CARF for the following rehab programs: brain injury rehab for adolescents and adults and stroke rehab for adolescents and adults.

Hook Rehabilitation Center is an 84-bed comprehensive program dedicated to providing for the rehabilitation needs of individuals who sustain physical disabilities and/or cognitive disabilities. The Hook Rehabilitation team
Hook Rehabilitation Center, with inpatient services located at Community Hospital East and outpatient services at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, has assembled an outstanding and dedicated staff to address each patient's individual goals. The core team for each patient is composed of a physiatrist (a physician specializing in rehabilitation), rehabilitation nursing, a clinical neuropsychologist, a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, a speech language pathologist, a recreational therapist and a case manager. The patient and his or her family are integral parts of the team and are encouraged to participate at all levels of their recovery.
